Housing is a Human Right

Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) has unexpectedly come into 225 Seattle housing units for people experiencing homelessness. These units will open in mid-March. Providing the basics for this many units in such a short time requires the help of many people. Over $55,000 is needed for furnishing such as beds, tables, etc. More than $30,000 would be needed for items in kitchens and baths if everything needed is to be purchased. The Rotary Club of Seattle - International District is helping to support LIHI in the fundraising efforts and we have two ways for you to help.

The Clay Apartments development is officially open for residents (see press release below). We will be continuing to collect cash donations until 3/31 to support move-ins as the units begin to fill. You can make a cash donation on this website

*** Donation Site will be closed out at midnight on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 ***

(Physical item donations for Clay Apartments are not being collected at this time due to storage capacity at LIHI.)

Proceeds from this fundraising campaign will go directly to the Seattle - International District Rotary Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, with net donations (after transaction/credit card fees) then going to Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) in support of housing needs for the two development projects. The donation package categories above are listed for reference only. Actual distribution of donations will vary based on the adjusted actual needs after physical donations are received.
